| Remember that snakes smell with their tongues.....here are some candid shots of the children as we explored our own sense of smell. Thanks to everyone for helping your child fill the scent bottles. Every child brought in a different smell! We were surprised at how easily the kids identified most of the pleasant smells and surely you will be able to figure out which child is smelling Charlie W's vinegar....enjoy! |

| This snake game provides another type of learning. The cards are much like dominoes where either side could connect. The catch is that to complete a snake you must also have a head and a tail. With parts of the colorful snakes spread out all over the floor, this was a good exercise in visual discrimination and spatial awareness. Best of all, we either won or lost as a class so everyone was being super helpful to their classmates. |
