" ALL THAT ART " !

Anna, Max and James David carefully apply dots with Q Tips to create our own version of Georges Seurat's pointillism.
Laura is studying the rose to see if she can add more petals to her own still life painting.
Everyone had the same fruits, rose and tray to paint.  You can see the inspiration....but everyone's finished picture is different!
Now we are on to statues.  Charlie creatively combined Magna-Tiles and plastic cups to build one!
The class loves playing the statue game!  They move their bodies while we sing.  When we stop, they first look at the picture, and then freeze in that position.
Wouldn't you admire a statue that looks this adorable!
Here's Jack in another statue pose.
Creating paintings in the style of "Action" Jackson Pollock was the most fun.  The kids dripped, splashed and spattered the paint with abandon, all while listening to the jazz music Pollock himself loved so much.  Thanks for listening to our "messy project alert" and also a big thanks to Robin Bock for tirelessly cleaning feet!  And if you are wondering why the children are jumping on their t-shirts, you will just have to come to the art show and find out!
