January Fun!

We placed the packing peanuts from our introduction to art activity into the sensory table for more fun.  The girls love scooping, pouring and finding the  little people we hid among the peanuts.
Sophia found another use for those little people....she made  houses from magna-tiles, put people in each one and created a neighborhood.  It's always fun to see the children use materials in totally unplanned (to us!) ways.  Even better is watching the class be inspired by one child's ideas.  Now we have small magna-tile cities popping up all over!
Our color of the month is white.  What happens when white is mixed with another color?   No one really knew so we experimented.  Each child could pick one color to mix with white.
They mixed the colors with brushes....
and with their hands....
And together we created a new mobile.
