Art can feed the soul and the tummy!

Paul  Klee was a Swiss-German artist who loved color, lines and shapes.  He used corners, curved and straight lines and many sizes of dots to create his abstract art.  After our "art talk" on Klee, the children had a chance to make a Klee inspired snack.  Pretzel sticks became lines and corners, carob chips and raisins became dots, and pita and cream cheese provided the blank canvas.

Then it was time to make more permanent art.  The children drew their lines and dots with black crayon.

After completing their drawings, the children used bright watercolors to add depth and excitement to their work.
Look for our KLEE GALLERY on the board outside our room.
