Thanks to everyone who sent in apples. We used them in matching, graphing, and weighing activities, and finally in making applesauce. We first reviewed the lessons learned by reading The Little Red Hen, that it is better to always volunteer to help a friend. Who will help us chop the apples? Everyone said, "I will."
The pictures show us chopping apples and then Maricella using her magic blender to whirl them together. Add a little honey and you have delicious applesauce, though we aren't sure Sophia thought this was true!
Not only was it fun to share this experience with Crew 124, but we did a mitzvah by sharing the applesauce with the other 2 pre-k classes. |
