Shelly ordered a luluv and etrog for the children to hold, shake and smell. Everyone had a turn as we sang songs and talked about two of the main symbols of the holiday of Sukkot.
In making the etrogs, the children had to use their hand and shoulder strength to squish two pieces of paper into a tight ball.
Wrapping the tape all around the etrog was another good way to develop finger strength and coordination. They pushed a pipe cleaner as the last step in making their etrogs.
Sammie brought some red potatoes and she is using her muscles to dig deep into the soil.
Charlie planted parsnips and Jonah had a giant turnip! Our sensory table is filled with a great variety of root vegetables.
Jack's mom brought one of Jack's favorite books to read as we all sat in our "living room ".
Friday was the 30th day of school. What better place for Zero to hang his "clue" than in our Sukkah! The children laughed and asked how Zero the Hero knew we were celebrating Sukkot.
As part of his visit Zero the Hero left us pineapple rings for snack. we enjoyed tracing the shape before we ate our healthy zeroes.
