Take Us Out to the Sukkah!

On Tuesday morning each class was given a time to bring their fall decorations to the Sukkah.  Our class had made beautiful fall leaves.  As you can see we attached the leaves to pipe cleaners so that the children could twist them through the wire of the Sukkah. We had an extra challenge of balancing on wooden beams as it had rained the night before and we didn't want to end up being a muddy mess. So the children worked on balancing , a large motor skill and twisting a fine motor skill. Who knew decorating could be such hard work!
Laura, Lukas, Matthew and Charlie decided to take a rest as they waited for their friends to take their turn at adding our leaves to the Sukkah.
We were so lucky that Friday morning was such a beautiful time to be in the Sukkah! The children  sang songs and waved their luluvs and etrogs  as we celebrated Shabbat in the Sukkah. As we sat in the Sukkah , we listened to the Rabbi and Eli.  They reminded us that we give thanks to God for all the good things that we grow and how God's goodness is everywhere. These two important lessons were taught to the children as we prepared for Sukkot. We want to thank all the parents who helped us carry everything that we needed to the Sukkah!
